Museum educators who teach K-12 programs know how important a role the classroom teacher, and the other adults involved, have on shaping the learners’ experience. Learn to control this variable in the success of your programs by guiding the adults to work with
you as a collaborative team. In this participatory session, we’ll explore:

Effective communication and relationship building with classroom teachers, chaperones, colleagues, and volunteers who are part of your programs: What it looks like, and why it matters.
Preparing and guiding adults to support you, the learners, and the success of the experience with confidence and compassion.

Your instructor will be Jennie Goldstone, EdD, an experiential learning specialist with over 20 years of experience as a non-formal educator, curriculum writer, and program administrator, and over 10 years of experience facilitating learner-centered professional
development for non-formal educators from museums, zoos, arts organizations, and other community-based institutions serving K-12 schools.
