Our Story

For nearly a decade, our family served The Lord in Southern California—transforming lives one scripture at a time.

Through innovative emerging-technology research and the founding of The Being Academy, our faith-based media technology company, we have remained purpose-driven and committed to empowering believers to commune with God daily through storytelling, games, and interactive sanctuaries.

Then, we heard a deeper call:

“Go into all the world and make disciples.”

In January 2025, we responded.

We packed up our home, sold our car, and stepped out by faith into a new chapter as full-time missionaries.

We began our journey by returning to the East Coast, reconnecting with family, friends, churches, organizations, and ministry partners who had been part of our story throughout the years.

In March, we traveled back across the country to Central and Southern California for outreach and evangelism.

Then, in April, our family took another major leap of faith and relocated to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, for three months of discipleship training with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) — University of the Nations.

Shortly afterward, we traveled to Alberta, Canada, where we spent five weeks serving at a summer camp and ministering to children—many from non-believing families—through play-based evangelism, discipleship, and hospitality.

It was throughout this season of being sent that the heart of our family’s missionary assignment became increasingly clear:

To empower The Body of Christ at large by capturing and sharing testimonies of faith from God's children all around the world.
To be change agents for unity in the American Church through representation at national prayer gatherings and evangelism movements across the country.
To root families and marketplace leaders in the love of Christ.

And to do so using the unique gifts God has entrusted to our family through art, media technology, social entrepreneurship, strategic consulting, hospitality, and play.

We believe Christ-rooted families raise Kingdom Builders. Kingdom Builders transform communities. Communities transformed by Christ change the world.

Our ministry exists to help see God’s Kingdom established one life, one family, one business, and one community at a time.

Building a Sustainable Marketplace Missions Model

Our first year in full-time missions was a tremendous leap of faith.

We entered the nonprofit fundraising space with very little experience and relied heavily on our family’s personal savings and marketplace income to sustain our missionary work.

We are incredibly grateful for our YWAM Family DTS 2025 cohort, who helped raise support for our Canadian outreach, and for the network of family, friends, ministry partners, and supporters around the world who sowed at critical moments throughout the year and helped our family stay the course.

As we enter our 2026/2027 ministry season, we are building a more sustainable model for missions.

Rather than depending solely on traditional donor fundraising, we are operating as marketplace missionaries—combining charitable giving with income generated through our professional gifts, businesses, products, advisory services, media, and marketplace initiatives.

Our ministry budget for this season is approximately $120,000.

Our monthly ministry goal is $10,000, with $5,000 each month raised here through our GiveButter Marketplace Missionary Fund and the remaining $5,000 generated through our family's marketplace initiatives.

This means every month, we are committed to working alongside our donors to help fund the mission.

Our 2026/2027 Ministry Agenda

We kicked off the 2026/2027 ministry year with our Midwest Family Chapel Tour ’26, spending September serving, gathering, praying, building relationships, and participating in ministry opportunities across several cities.

During the tour, our family honored our call to missions through:

The BVM Black Pastors Network / The Activated Church Conference at Hope City Global in Columbus, Ohio
Communion America ’26 on the road in Chicago, Illinois.
A Northern California Family Chapel Pop-Ups Pilot , bringing our family discipleship, prayer, and interactive gaming ministry experience to local communities, playgrounds, parks, and public spaces.
Official Launch of the Family Chapel Midwest Tour ’26, with ministry pop-ups in Tulsa, Oklahoma | St. Louis, Missouri | Chicago, Illinois | Lincoln, Nebraska | Denver, Colorado

And we're just getting started!!!

Throughout the 2026/2027 ministry year, our family will continue serving locally, digitally, nationally, and globally through three primary areas of mission:

Equipping Families

We provide accessible discipleship experiences designed to remove financial, travel, and expertise barriers that can make family spiritual formation difficult.

Back home in Southern California, we will host weekly Family Chapels at playgrounds, parks, and beaches—creating welcoming spaces where families can worship, pray, play, hear The Word of God, discern God’s call for their household, and grow in faith together.

Through creative media, gaming, storytelling, and hospitality-centered pop-up experiences, we help families increase their biblical understanding while developing engaging, relevant, and meaningful relationships with God and with one another.

Our discipleship framework emphasizes cultivating a devotional lifestyle as a family and:

“Seeking to see, be, and experience life made in the image of God.”

We support families as they anchor their identities in Christ and spiritually mature as stewards of their individual and collective gifts, purpose, and mission under one roof.

Strengthening Communities

We believe the Body of Christ is strengthened when believers gather across denominational, socioeconomic, cultural, and geographic lines.

Throughout the year, we will continue attending, promoting, serving, and supporting gatherings throughout the United States that reflect the diversity of God’s Kingdom.

We serve as intercessors, peacemakers, storytellers, and ministry partners—helping uplift the face of evangelism in America to more fully reflect every nation, tribe, and tongue living, loving, worshipping, and serving on American soil.

In partnership with Mornings With God Ministry, we hosted The Changeover 5787: a Ten Days of Awe global intercession gathering surrounding the changeover from spiritual year 5786, bringing believers together in prayer, worship, and discipleship activation during this significant season.

We will also support the ministry’s annual New Year’s Eve Global Prayerthon, joining believers around the world in prayer and intercession as we enter the new year.

Advancing Kingdom Business

We equip and mobilize Christian founders, marketplace leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals to steward their work missionally.

Through The Land of Being, our digital discipleship ecosystem, we will host interactive biblical studies and discipleship programming designed specifically for marketplace leaders of faith.

These experiences help believers examine their work through Scripture, grow in spiritual maturity, discern how God is leading them in the marketplace, and develop the faith and wisdom required to build according to His Word.

Through advisory services, strategic partnerships, discipleship, interactive media, and creative innovation, we help Kingdom businesses and leaders:

Build with a spirit of excellence.

Practice servant leadership.

Love and serve their communities well.

Steward their influence faithfully.

And advance the Gospel through their work in the marketplace.

Partner With Our Mission

Our first year in missions taught us what it means to go when God says GO.

This next season is about learning how to build, serve, work, give, and grow sustainably while remaining obedient to that call.

We are inviting families, friends, churches, businesses, and Kingdom-minded partners to help us raise $5,000 each month through this GiveButter campaign toward our $10,000 monthly ministry goal.

There are three ways to partner with Middletons On A Mission:

100 Hundreds

Join a community of monthly partners giving $100 each month to help sustain our ongoing ministry and missions work throughout the year.

Founding Families

Commit $1200 for the 2026/2027 ministry year —a one-time annual gift—to help establish and strengthen the foundation of this next season of mission.
