Meet Uriah

Meet Uriah Bisson—a devoted father, running enthusiast, and proud member of the Oxford, Ohio community.

Uriah and his family are regulars at MOON Co-op—one of their favorite spots for fresh, local food and meaningful connection. What started as a place to grab lunch has become something more: a community of people they are grateful to call friends.

This September, Uriah is turning his passion for endurance running into a way to give back.

The Challenge

On September 12, 2026, Uriah will compete in Prairie on Fire, a Backyard Ultra race.

He has already:

Completed a 100-mile backyard ultra race
Finished numerous ultra marathons
Completed several marathons

Now, he’s pushing even further.

He will keep going until his body gives out.

And every step is for the co-op.

What is a Backyard Ultra?

A Backyard Ultra is not your typical race.

Runners complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour, on the hour. If they don’t finish in time to start the next loop, they’re out.

This continues hour after hour…
until only one runner remains.

How You Can Help

There are two ways to be part of this journey:

Pre-Commit to donating $50 if your name is drawn
After each completed loop, one name will be drawn
The farther Uriah goes, the more chances to give!
