The founders of a sister organization, The English Advantage, were compelled from the beginning to give at-risk, vulnerable, and exploited children and youth a true advantage that would change their future and break the cycle. Or, to put it another way, to give them HOPE FOR TOMORROW.

As they encountered populations where vulnerable children were subjected to unimaginable exploitation, they realized that hope for tomorrow was not enough. These children needed hope for today and hope for tomorrow. Hope Homes International was founded out of a profound awareness that children who are sexually assaulted and exploited consistently come from the same half of the population: the vulnerable half.

By providing a safe place for these children, Hope Homes International empowers mothers to work and earn the income needed to support their families without leaving their children alone or in the care of untrustworthy individuals who lack accountability.

This year's campaign exists because last year we were enabled to purchase the 2.4 acres in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, with the vision to end exploitation there BEFORE it begins, by removing vulnerability. Now, we're almost able to build. We're $1,000,000 away from a miracle, a kids' home with a fully secure perimeter, a two-story dormitory building for the true orphans and abandoned children, and a central covered pavilion with a kitchen and bathrooms for all the kids' meals and central activities. In a place where the majority of families are single mothers with a middle school education, this project will end the pandemic of exploitation and abuse of minors who are alone while their mom works to put food on the table.

The INITIAL GOAL is to raise $1,000,000 by December 31, 2025, enabling construction on phase 1 to begin. (providing 48 children and youth overnight and an additional 50 day/evening) The ULTIMATE GOAL is to enlist 1,000,000 people giving $1/month for 12 months. This would fully enable us to build the entire project, including all 3 dormitories at 3 stories each, the full central pavilion, the storefronts that will create jobs and help finance the ongoing expenses of caring for these kids, the medical clinic, the attached hotel, and the director's house on premises. That is 200 overnight kids in care and an additional 200 daytime, after-school, and evening kids in a safe place.
