Mirth is an artist-first 501(c)3 built to support emerging voices, foster community, and make space for experimentation in Los Angeles. Inspired by the joy and vulnerability of live art, mirth was created with the artist in mind. We provide direct grants, resources, and community-driven opportunities. We believe that when artists are empowered, the whole world becomes a little more alive.

In June 2026, during Hollywood Fringe, Mirth will open a dynamic month-long immersive theatre venue. Multiple shows, multiple artists, one cohesive theatrical universe connected under a single narrative umbrella. Every corner of the space is a part of the experience, and the show begins the moment you walk in. There will be a group of “headlining” artists with performances occurring more often, while still leaving plenty of room for additional artists to experiment & bring the venue alive.

The venue pop-up serves as a case study for a more permanent brick and mortar Mirth space for our community’s art and immersive theatre. A space that belongs to this scene, to these artists, and to this city. A place where the underground scene gets an address and long-term support. The artists are ready, the audience is hungry. We need your help to open the doors.
