This time we welcome Sumeet M. Jaswal, MSc, BA, from the University of British Columbia to talk about her latest research on misokinesia. Sumeet, along with her colleague, Dr. Todd Handy, are currently the only people on the planet actively researching misokinesia, an aversive reaction to seeing visual movements and other stimuli. Misokinesia is sometimes called “visual misophonia” and is probably more common than we think. Learn about Sumeet’s current and future studies. About The Speaker:

Sumeet Jaswal is a 5th year Cognitive Psychology Ph.D. Candidate at the University of British Columbia. Currently researching human visual attention, with a specific interest in a psychological phenomenon called misokinesia (hatred of movements) which is currently absent from scientific research.
