Hello, My name is Emberlyn Hemmer and I am 11 years old. I was born with a condition called Caudal Regression Syndrome Lumbosacral Agenesis. My condition is extremely rare. I became a Shriners patient at 3 months old. To this day, I travel from Nebraska to Minnesota several times a year for surgery and follow-up visits. My experiences in life have filled me with strength, bravery, and determination. I have the confidence to let nothing stop me. Each year, my mama and I do half marathons. So far, we've completed 5! I dream of becoming a performer one day. I love to sing and dance; and practice every day! Participating in Miss Amazing Amplify event is a highlight I consistently look forward to all year long and is definitely my favorite. Taking part in Miss Amazing has profoundly influenced my personal growth and development. The experience has taught me the importance of embracing my authentic self and instilled a renewed sense of self-esteem, determination, and the resilient spirit to never give up.  One of my favorite songs is called "This is Me." The lyrics in the song really resonate with me: "I am brave, I am bruised, this is who I'm meant to be, this is me." When I think of Disability, I always focus on the word ABILITY. Through my life experience, I've learned that what seems impossible is actually possible. On October 25, 2025, I participated in Nebraska Miss Amazing and was crowned Nebraska Miss Amazing Pre-Teen Queen! I was so excited when they said my name! It is a moment that I will never forget. In July 2026 I will attend the Miss Amazing National Summit in Chicago. I will be representing Nebraska Miss Amazing Pre-Teen. I am beyond grateful and feel so blessed for this opportunity. My journey has led me to an unexpected and exciting place: qualifying for Nationals! This is a significant milestone, and any support you can offer will directly help me get there and make this goal a reality as I represent Nebraska, Husker Nation!
