Kitty McClintock's Story

Hi, I’m Kitty McClintock, your Michigan Miss Amazing Miss Queen 2026. I am a disability advocate living with multiple complex disabilities, including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and I use a power wheelchair for mobility. While my disabilities shape my daily life, they do not stop me. They fuel my passion to create change and advocate for myself and others. This year, I am working toward becoming a National Miss Amazing Queen. This opportunity would allow me to expand my advocacy on a larger stage and continue pushing for greater accessibility, inclusion, and representation for the disability community. One of my biggest goals is to grow the reach of my children’s book, Everyone Belongs: A Story of Disability and Inclusion. This story is deeply personal to me, and I hope to place it in as many libraries, classrooms, and communities as possible so children grow up understanding that disability is something that belongs. I also advocate by sharing my lived experiences, including navigating inaccessible spaces and facing barriers within healthcare systems. These experiences drive my mission to create meaningful change and raise awareness about the gaps that still exist. My current fundraising goal is $2,800. Your support will help cover travel and expenses for the national competition, outreach efforts to distribute my book, and continued advocacy work focused on accessibility and inclusion. Every donation, share, and kind word helps me move closer to making a larger impact. Thank you for supporting me, my story, and a future where everyone truly belongs. With gratitude, Kitty McClintock
