Bringing Holiday Joy to Families Impacted by Cannabis Incarceration

This October, MJ Unpacked and Freedom Grow are coming together in Kansas City for a special fundraiser benefiting Freedom Grow’s annual Holiday Drive.

As the cannabis industry gathers at MJ Unpacked to connect, collaborate, and celebrate how far cannabis has come, we also want to remember the individuals and families who continue to live with the consequences of cannabis incarceration.

This fundraiser is about turning that awareness into action.

The majority of funds raised through this campaign will help provide gift cards to children who have a parent incarcerated for cannabis, giving families the ability to choose something special and helping bring a little extra joy to their holidays. Any funds we raise over will be distributed to commissary funds for cannabis prisoners.

For a child missing a parent during the holiday season, even a small act of kindness can mean so much. It is a reminder that their family has not been forgotten and that there is a community standing beside them.

Together, MJ Unpacked and Freedom Grow invite the cannabis community to give back to the families who have sacrificed so much.

Step up. Give what you can. Help us turn a symbol of incarceration into an opportunity for hope.

No child should feel forgotten because their parent is behind bars for cannabis.

Thank you to MJ Unpacked, its attendees, partners, and the entire cannabis community for helping us brighten the holidays for these families.

FREEDOM GROW is an all-volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization. We help cannabis prisoners regain freedom while we support their sacrifices through ’The Wish Program’. The Wish Program helps prisoners with commissary money, books, magazines, family outreach, re-entry, and public education.
