MMC is so excited to be launching our Fall Fundraiser!

Over the next two weeks, we’re asking for your help to make the 26-27 Musical Mentors Exploration program our best yet.

You can support MMC in three ways:

Contribute to our Scholarship Fund, which will provide full and partial scholarships to students in our Exploration program, making our program accessible to everyone involved. You can contribute right here on our Givebutter page. We offer thousands of dollars in scholarships every year. Help us ensure that every student can receive funding who needs it! We need $8,000 to reach our goal.
Donate an instrument, which will allow students in our Exploration classroom access to high-quality equipment. We are in particular need of violins, electric pianos, and recorders. You can reach out to me (matt@musical-mentors.org) if you’re interested in donating.
Sign up to be a Musical Mentor, so our students can learn from accomplished and dedicated educators. You can find out more about being a mentor and our application here

Our Exploration program offers group music instruction to young learners from a variety of musical backgrounds. We partner with schools and community organizations to provide musical enrichment and opportunities for students to explore instruments, genres, and performance through in-person group classes. Students of all interests and skill levels build foundational musical skills using accessible instruments – including piano, violin, ukulele, guitar, voice/chorus, and recorder – that allow them to begin playing and performing quickly. Exploration students who are especially passionate about their musical studies even get the chance to pursue one-on-one lessons with one of MMC’s renowned Musical Mentors.

Our Exploration students also get access to MMC’s robust Community Events program, which offers students the opportunity to see world-renowned musicians in action through masterclasses and free tickets to local events. Our students have spoken with Grammy winners, seen shows at Carnegie Hall, and much more! Students also get the opportunity to perform in end-of-year recitals to show off their skills :)

MME has a PROFOUND impact on the communities we serve:

99% said their student’s confidence increased since starting with MMC
98% said MMC offered life-changing benefits to their student
94% said their student connected positively with the program’s curriculum
94% of responding families said their student enjoyed learning music in a group setting
87% said their student felt connected to their MMC teacher

On behalf of the whole community, we thank you for your continued support of MMC and hope you’ll consider contributing to this transformational program.
