Everybody needs help sometimes. That's the guiding principal of mutual aid: the voluntary, collaborative exchanges of resources and services for common benefit. And that's why we created the MN Together Fund.

On December 1, 2025 federal agents descended on the Twin Cities to begin ‘Operation Metro Surge.’ Just a month later, it swelled to "the largest DHS operation ever." This enforcement action, though, affects many more people than the "worst of the worst" that the agencies say they seek. Since January 1, federal agents have fatally shot a woman in the face, detained countless citizens and legal immigrants, and deployed chemical weapons on children during a school dismissal.

This recklessness has so endangered our city that many of our neighbors are sheltering in place. Parents are keeping American-born children home from school to avoid contact with federal agents. Naturalized neighbors who may get caught in a sweep are too afraid to grocery shop. And assisted-living staff with pending asylum cases are forced into the impossible choice of going to their workplace and risking indiscriminate arrest or staying home safe but without a paycheck.

When you make a contribution to the MN Together Fund, you pool your resources with Minnesotans across the state who are loving our neighbor in real time. MARCH, a multifaith alliance of communities working toward racial justice and collective liberation, is collaborating with leaders of affected communities to match these funds to trusted partners best positioned to meet the emerging needs of our neighbors. We know that all of our stories are bound together and that liberty and justice for some can never be freedom.
