Move for Mental Health

Move your body. Build community. Support mental health in Teton Valley.

Mental health touches everyone in our community. Move for Mental Health is a way for us to show up for each other through movement, generosity, and a little friendly competition.

It's a fun, high-energy team fitness challenge that brings our community together to support mental wellness.

Community Fundraising Goal: $40,000

Teams of four will ride, row, and do reps as they compete in a fitness challenge while raising funds to help ensure people in our valley can access counseling and mental health support.

Only 16 teams will compete, so gather your crew and claim a spot.

Entry fee: $500 per team
Team size: 4 people

Each team contributes a $500 entry fee, and teams go on to raise more through their personal fundraising pages.

The Challenge

Teams compete in a series of fitness activities at Targhee Athletics, combining strength, endurance, and teamwork. Whether you're coming to win or just to have fun together, the goal is simple: move your body and support mental health in our community.

Why We Move

All funds raised through Move for Mental Health support the Community Counseling Fund at the Mental Health Coalition of Teton Valley.

This program helps remove barriers so people in our community can access care when they need it most.

Through the Community Counseling Fund, we provide:

💛 Six free counseling sessions with a local therapist
💛 Case management and support to help people navigate resources and next steps
💛 Crisis and suicide prevention support when someone needs immediate help

Together, we are working to ensure that people in our community can find support, connection, and care.

How It Works

1. Register Your Team
One person signs up as the Team Captain and creates the team.

2. Invite Your Teammates
Each team has four members. The captain invites three teammates to join.

3. Fundraise Together
Each team member gets a personal fundraising page to share with friends and family.

4. Compete + Celebrate
On event day, teams compete in the fitness challenge and celebrate the impact we’ve made together.

You do not need to have your full team ready to register. Team captains can secure a team spot and invite teammates later.

Winning teams receive great prizes from local businesses.

The winning Spirit Team will also be featured on next year’s Move for Mental Health promotional materials.
