Celebrating 25 Years of Impact: Help us Invest in the Next 25!

Following our 25th Anniversary Village Awards Gala, Marion P. Thomas Charter School and the MPTCS Foundation proudly continue the Village 25 Fundraising Initiative, with a goal of raising an additional $50,000 to invest in the future of our scholars.

Founded in 1999 by the late Rev. Dr. Charles E. Thomas, MPTCS has grown from four classrooms and 60 students into four campuses serving more than 1,300 scholars across Newark. As one of the few Black-founded and Black-led charter schools in New Jersey, MPTCS remains deeply rooted in culture, community, and opportunity.

Funds raised support MPTCS Foundation Scholarships, academic innovation, and dynamic learning environments, opening doors to college, trade programs, and lifelong success.
