This August, MR. COOL - a theatrical experience unlike anything you’ve ever witnessed before - returns to the MainStage at Theatrical Outfit.

Staged as a live séance inside an immersive tennis environment, MR. COOL weaves together cinematic sound design, projection, and theatrical ritual into something suspended between locker room confession, sports documentary, fever dream, and public reckoning.

There's a moment just before a live recording begins when everyone becomes hyperaware of themselves. The audience straightens. The host performs calm. The microphones start listening. MR. COOL begins there.

A sold-out tennis stadium. The live season finale of the hit podcast Ray of Fight. At center court sits Ray Masinloc: Filipino-American, former UFC champion, tabloid fixation, public disaster. Once celebrated for his unmatched fight IQ. Now known for surviving the collapse of his own image. Then came the second act. Not redemption. Something stranger. At the end of himself, Ray discovers a new gift: he can speak to the dead. Iconic athletes. Ghosts with unfinished business. The séances have made Ray famous all over again. They have not set him free. Tonight's guest is Arthur Ashe.

What begins as content slowly stops behaving like content. Ashe refuses the polished language history assigned him. Ray loses control of the interview. This is no longer a performance about legacy - but something far less comfortable: Two men sitting inside the machinery that made them useful. One Black. One Brown. Fifty years apart. Different sports. The same inheritance: Be exceptional. Absorb the projection. Stay composed. Do not become inconveniently human.
