Give the Gift of Clean Water

A simple act of generosity can become a profound work of mercy. Bringing clean water to those in need!

Our Mission

Rooted in the Sacred Heart spirituality of Jules Chevalier, the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart and the MSC Sisters, along with lay partners who share his charism, reach out to the most vulnerable members of society - especially in regions where the MSCs serve in mission.

Our Water4Life projects provide support for clean drinking water and essential sanitation, empowering people to thrive and build healthier futures.

The Mission Office continues to grow its global outreach, supporting communities in need around the world. We are proud to share that we have successfully completed projects in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Senegal, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Our mission is ongoing, with applications currently in progress in both the Philippines and the Dominican Republic, as we continue expanding our efforts to bring clean water, support, and sustainable development to more communities.

Who are we?

Missionaries of the Sacred Heart—known as the MSC, from the Latin Missionarii Sacratissimi Cordis.

“May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be loved everywhere” is our motto, given to us by Jules Chevalier, who founded the Society in France in 1854.

Since that time, the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart have been devoted to bringing the love of Christ to the world especially to those most in need, in a spirit of compassion, service, and missionary zeal.

As a global initiative, Water4Life participates in this mission by supporting works of charity that uphold the dignity of every human person.

What do we do?

We support works that respond to essential human needs, including:

Clean water wells and systems
Sanitation and hygiene infrastructure

We currently have Water4Life projects ongoing in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines.

These efforts reflect the Church’s call to care for the poor and to serve others in both body and spirit.

How do we do it?

Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, serving around the world, act as our direct liaisons to communities in need. Through them, we are able to:

Identify genuine and urgent needs
Review detailed project applications
Provide funding through structured grants
Accompany and monitor each project’s progress

Whenever possible, projects are carried out by local contractors or community members respecting the dignity of work and fostering long-term sustainability.

From the United States, we work in close partnership to ensure that every gift is used responsibly and for the greatest good.

Why it matters

Access to clean water is essential to life, health, and human dignity.

In serving this need, we participate in a greater mission of charity; bringing hope, relief, and the love of Christ to those we may never meet, but are united with in faith.

Thank you

Your generosity becomes a true act of charity, helping to carry forward this mission of love and service.

“May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be loved everywhere.”
