Join us for an evening of great music, friendship, light refreshments, and hope in support of the children of war in Ukraine!

Ken Ulansey (woodwinds) and Phyllis Chapell (vocals and guitar) have been blending their instruments and voices together for over 15 years, recording in each other’s many projects, mixing influences, and broadening each other’s musical outlooks. Together they draw from traditions as diverse as the Middle East, Europe, Brazil and Latin America, Asia and, of course, the American songbook. Their travels through most of these cultures lend a rare authenticity to their music. Phyllis has won awards for her original music and has been named one of the top 500 jazz vocalists of all time. Ken Ulansey is a Penn Council of the Arts and PEW Foundation winner, leads his own multi-genre/multi-dimensional ensemble (Philadelphia Magazine Best of Philly!), has toured extensively in Europe, Asia and the States, and has played on over 200 recordings.

Molly Grace Hicks (vocals and guitar) is a member of Old Haverford Friends Meeting and has a letter of ministry from Old Haverford supporting her calling to interfaith and music leadership, which includes a monthly interfaith gathering called Song, Silence and Sanctuary. She also performs with the Interfaith Music Project of Philadelphia, Molly is a board-certified music therapist and runs a private practice supporting individuals and families who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, and spiritual struggles. She regularly presents at professional conferences, has authored scholarly journal articles, and co-developed a continuing education course to help music therapists better meet the spiritual needs of the individuals with whom they work.
