Come downtown to Kinder HSPVA to hear 350 student musicians performing across 6 simultaneous venues in 25+ events!

Your tickets and donations provide the Instrumental and Vocal Music Department budgets. In addition to basic classroom supplies and sheet music, your support provides curriculum essentials like: adjunct faculty for every ensemble; instrument repair and maintenance; music software; partnerships with professional arts organizations like AFA and DACAMERA; and specialized courses like Acting for Singers, Global Grooves, Careers in Music, Jazz Voice, Music Citizenship, and Music Recording and Production!

HSPVA Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in partnership with Houston ISD. HSPVA Friends oversees Kinder HSPVA's governance, finances, staffing, calendar, and curriculum while raising the philanthropic support that makes its nationally recognized arts education possible.

With the help of hundreds of volunteers, HSPVA Friends supports every aspect of the school's six art areas: Creative Writing, Dance, Instrumental Music, Theatre, Visual Arts, and Vocal Music. Since 1978, HSPVA Friends has raised millions of dollars from foundations, corporations, and individual donors to provide the adjunct faculty, guest artists, equipment, technology, arts supplies, and performance opportunities that public funding does not cover.

We pride ourselves in collaborating with community leaders, artists, and parents to fill the gap between public funding and the essential building blocks of a quality education.
