CCHS is a great part of our community. I am a former CCHS employee, current volunteer, and an adopter. Our home has 6 wonderful pets:

-adopted from CCHS as a puppy
-lives for fetch
-favorite song: "Kissing Strangers" by DNCE
Georgia (golden/hound mix)
- 9 years old
- adopted from Mobile Mutts at age 2
- there is no such thing as too much petting
-favorite trick: "Speak!"
Sadie (herding type/husky mix)
- 8 years old
-adopted as an adolescent by my partner when previous home had no time for her
- you're never done brushing, don't forget the belly
- favorite activity: listening for ground squirrels
Luna (mini American Eskimo)
- 6 years old
-adopted from CCHS as a pandemic "foster failure"
- don't skip her 10am walk or she turns into a gremlin
- favorite toy: swifter dusters
Fraggle (ferret)
-5 years old
-adopted from CCHS
-nips dogs' toes and frames Lucy
-favorite activity: raid the kitchen cabinets
Lucy (ferret)
- 8 years old
-purchased by my partner before we met
- sleeps in a pineapple-shaped cave when she's not curled up with Fraggle
-favorite activity: licking her humans' post-shower feet
Please help me to reach or exceed my fundraising goal! CCHS doesn't just help animals in the community, they do a lot to help people who love animals too. As an independent non profit they don't get any government funding and they are only able to operate thanks to generous donors.
