Who will come out on top?

This spring, let your friends and family know that YOU support homeless animals by asking them to make YOUR pet Mutt Strut’s Top Dog! The Mutt Strut participant who raises the most money gets the Top Dog honor of appearing on a can of Triptych brew!

Mutt Strut is one of our biggest annual fundraisers and your participation is crucial!

CCHS is not funded by any government entities, nor any national animal welfare organizations. We rely on the generous members of this community to keep our doors open to animals in need. You help us shelter them while they wait to be adopted. You help us restore them to health when they are suffering Friends like YOU made it possible for us to care for over 1,700 animals last year!

To get started:

1) Navigate to our “Team Members” at the top of the page, and let us know you want to "Fundraise"!

2) Get your tickets to attend the Mutt Strut on May 5, 2024 in Friendship Grove at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana!

3) Encourage your friends to come with you, and their tickets can also be credited to your fundraiser as they check out.

The Mutt Strut is what every dog-owner dreams of: An event where dogs are not just “allowed” but welcomed! Food for dogs, games for dogs, contests for dogs, everything is going to the dogs on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Friendship Grove at Crystal Lake Park.

Click "Give to a Top Dog" at the top of this page to register to attend, along with your furry friend! You can use your ticket to cast your vote for the Top! Just select your competitor as your register or donate.

Important Information for Dog Owners:

This is an event for dogs and their people, but please consider your dog's health, temperament, and ability to handle crowds (and other dogs) before coming!

Rules: One dog per handler. If you have multiple dogs, you’ll need as many handlers.

Handlers must be at least 17 years of age.

All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6-feet in length. No flexi-leashes will be allowed.
