We discovered Mwana through our close friends who support and have adopted two children from the Refuge. They had overwhelmingly positive things to say about Mwana and the more we learn, the more we love. We love how Mwana does not benefit financially from adoptions, which can create conflicts of interest, and how they care for the workers and children with the love of Jesus as they make it their priority to reunite children with their birth families whenever it is possible. A refuge, a home and a place of belonging has been an important concept for our family. It is our joy as a family to help support the Mwana Refuge and the men and women who help it run!
We are fundraising for the PAPAS at the Mwana Refuge! The Mwana men serve as guards, refuge supervisors and part of the leadership team--they work tirelessly all throughout each day to ensure the children are protected and provided for. The Mwana Papas are also integral in everyday activities with the children, providing them with a loving, safe relationship with godly men.
