Every afternoon in North Charleston, the hours after school present a critical moment for children and families.

For many students, the school day ends without access to tutoring, safe supervision, nutritious meals, or enrichment opportunities. These after school hours can determine whether a child falls behind or moves forward with confidence.

Beyond Our Walls exists to transform these hours into opportunity.

For more than twenty years, Beyond Our Walls has served as a trusted neighborhood center where children receive academic support, mentorship, and a safe environment to learn and grow. Each day students strengthen reading and math skills, receive guidance from caring mentors, and participate in enrichment activities that build confidence and curiosity.

The need for this support continues to grow. Many of the students we serve arrive already struggling with reading and foundational math skills. Without consistent support, these gaps widen each year and become harder to overcome.

Your support ensures that children in North Charleston have access to the resources they need to succeed.

Through this campaign, we are raising $100,000 to support our after school programming and summer learning opportunities for the coming year. These funds will help provide academic tutoring, literacy instruction, math support, STEAM enrichment activities, meals, and a safe place where children can thrive.

When you invest in Beyond Our Walls, you are helping keep children safe during the most vulnerable hours of the day. You are helping close academic gaps before they grow. You are giving working families peace of mind and opening doors of opportunity for the next generation.

Together we can ensure that every child has the chance to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
