Hurricane Helene Aid for North Carolina

Wilmington Response is a volunteer-based organization actively helping North Carolina
mountain communities rebuild from the severe flooding and landslides caused by Hurricane
Helene.
Many people had to flee their homes, some returned to communities reduced to rubble or
mired in toxic mud. Our primary objective is to ensure every volunteer, every agency, and every
church has the supplies needed to support their community and have the strength to rebuild
after this massive disaster.

In the short term, funds provide emergency supplies such as food, clean water, clothing, and
medical care for displaced families. In the long-term, donations are needed to rebuild homes
and support local businesses as they work to recover.
Our goal is to provide large, fireproof structures equipped with wood stoves to ensure warmth
and safety throughout the cold winter months. Every dollar goes directly toward helping victims
rebuild their lives and regain hope.

COMMUNITY IN ACTION
So far, Wilmington Response has:
- been actively engaged on the ground with three major deployments,
- established mobile medical centers, providing thousands of dollars in medical supplies to
those in need
- collaborated with drone teams, search & recovery, K9 units, local citizens, volunteers,
organizations, corporations, military, law enforcement agencies, emergency management,
fire departments, rescue squads, charities, churches, and civic groups

We have connected eastern and western North Carolina by gathering supplies in two
warehouses (one in Wilmington, NC, as well as one in Sylva, NC) we are actively distributing these
supplies to affected areas. We also operate a supply distribution hub in Dillsboro, NC.
In partnership with our network of volunteers and organizations, we are committed to ensuring
that aid is delivered directly, quickly, and effectively to those in greatest need. This
collaboration enables us to combine resources, expertise, and manpower, maximizing the
impact of every dollar donated.
