Mental Health has always played a major role in my life. From myself, my daughter, my mother, my best friend, my sister, my niece, my grandfather and so many others. We each have a little bit of a different story but we have all gone through so much pain and struggle. I can speak for myself and for my daughter that our depression has gotten so bad that it seemed better and easier to just end it all. Thank God that wasn't the outcome for us though! My best friend on the other hand wasn't as lucky. She left behind a baby boy, sisters, nieces and nephews, and more friends then anyone I've ever met. She thought she had only one way to make things better in her life and She didn't make it. Depression and mental health can really effect your entire well-being and ways you think about your life. Its also something you can't battle alone or without proper medication. I'd really just like to raise awareness and money to put more resources into mental health. So weather your helping me, helping yourself, helping a loved one, a friend, a coworker or any person who has struggled or is struggling with any mental health issue the simplest or smallest gesture can have a huge and lasting effect. Even bringing awareness to this cause can help a person live a more comfortable life or give a person courage to get help and could even save someone's life. So thank you from me and thank you from all those who are effected by mental illness in some way or another and from those who are no longer here anymore to say thank you. God Bless.
