In the leadup to Henrik Ibsen’s 200th birthday, New American Ensemble’s 2027 season will present two of his late and rarely produced masterworks, The Lady from the Sea and The Master Builder, in rotating repertory - allowing audiences to see a different story night to night.

This is the first time these two plays, connected by the crossover character Hilde Wangel, have been presented together on the North American Continent - with The Lady From The Sea not being seen on a NYC stage since 1987.

Directed by Artistic Director Michael DeFilippis, the production will feature an ensemble of returning NAE actors and designers, along with a new group of collaborators who represent the top tier of talent in NYC.

We are looking for patrons who want to join us in presenting this unique production Off-Broadway: the American contribution to the global celebration of Ibsen’s legacy.

For sponsorship & co-presentation opportunities, or entitlements for support exceeding the amounts shown, please contact Scott Gordon – Co-founder & Managing Producer: Scott@NewAmericanEnsemble.org.
