NEWEST UPDATE 9/3/24

Casa del Jardin has 7 new faces with ages that run between 4 and 15. We could not turn a cold shoulder to these children and have been providing them with our services. Each one has suffered from the hands of abuse and neglect, but we are determined to gain their trust and show them that they have all the support that they need to process their trauma. In addition, many of them have not had the opportunity to learn how to read and write, so they have been enrolled in our specialized homeschool education.

In light of these new additions, we are incredibly blessed to have a fuller house but that also means that our operating costs have increased, as well. We'd like to thank everyone for their generosity in helping us cover the costs of renovations. Multiple groups have come to the property to volunteer their time and add their own personal touch onto the property. For that, we are eternally grateful. Take a look at some of the before and after footage that we have collected to show just how much progress was completed! Now, we'd like to share some incredibly exciting news over the past three weeks.

International Network of Hearts has been given an incredible opportunity to provide a new home for our children and more child human trafficking survivors that need a safe place to heal. This process of a property transfer has taken months to complete but we are so excited to share this news with everyone. With more bedrooms, an expansive field for recreational activities, a designated nursery room, and homeschool classrooms, our goal is to increase the number of children that INH can care for and provide the best service possible for these deserving kids. However, to realize this dream, we have to face the reality that it won't come easily. There are a multitude of renovations and repairs that the property will have to undergo before it reaches health and safety inspection regulations/standards.

These include:

holes in the wall and ceiling of multiple rooms
a badly damaged kitchen countertop
unsanitary environments that need to be deep-cleaned
carpeted floors that need to be replaced
street graffiti to be taken off
and many more on the list.
