New musicals don’t start on big stages, they start in little rooms.
Rooms where writers bring in drafts that are ready to be tested. Where songs are reworked after hearing them out loud. Where collaborators help shape what a piece can become.

This fall, Amoeba Productions is launching our New Musicals Lab, a space for writers to take their work to the next level. We’ll be selecting two musicals in development and giving their teams the opportunity to:

• refine and revise their scripts and scores
• access rehearsal space and other resources
• collaborate & receive feedback from professionals
• share their work in an industry showcase

We’re raising $2,500 over the next 3 weeks to support that process: funding rehearsal space, artist resources, and the final presentation.

In New York, $15 might get you two slices of pizza and a drink or $100 for dinner and dessert at Junior’s Restaurant after a show. At Amoeba, those same amounts help move a musical forward! Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for more opportunities to donate.
