Help preserve Nevadaville’s history before more of it disappears.

Nevadaville Heritage Foundation was created to preserve, document, research, and share the history of Nevadaville, Colorado — one of the state’s most significant surviving mining towns.

Our work focuses on historic-resource documentation, archival research, mapping, preservation planning, interpretation, and public education. We are working with property owners, preservation professionals, local officials, historians, and community supporters to build a clearer record of the town and identify priorities for future preservation.

NHF has already submitted its first State Historical Fund grant application for a Phase I documentation and preservation-planning project. While that application is under review, we are building the broader support needed to move NHF from its current exploratory stage into active programming.

Our founding goal is $30,000.

Reaching this level of support will help NHF build the financial foundation needed to transition beyond its exploratory stage with our fiscal sponsor and begin eligible program activity, and to support preservation work, research, documentation, interpretation, and future grant matching requirements.

Donations support the charitable work of Nevadaville Heritage Foundation. Eligible funds may also be used toward grant matching requirements where permitted.

Nevadaville Heritage Foundation is a fiscally sponsored project of Colorado Nonprofit Development Center.

Thank you for helping preserve Nevadaville’s past so it can be understood and shared for generations to come.
