Friends of Music (FOM) is the Needham High School’s Performing Arts Booster Organization, dedicated to nurturing and supporting the music and theater programs at NHS - and beyond. We strengthen and enrich every student’s experience, ensuring that they experience the joy and growth that participation in the performing arts can bring.

FOM touches hundreds of students every year, helping them develop their talents, skills, confidence and discipline. Every year, FOM:

Awards grants to teachers for exciting and unique extra-curricular and in-class programs, workshops and special guests to enrich student experiences. This year grants have already been awarded to our new bandleader, Mr.Martin to bring in professional ensembles to the high school, including a masterclass!
Supplies professional sound engineers at concerts to ensure that singers can be heard.
Upgrades equipment, uniforms and offer ongoing training for tech students.
Provides publicity for musicals, concerts and the school play.
Supports students and staff during the four major theatrical productions with meals, swag and cast and crew photo galleries.
Awards thousands of dollars in college scholarships to graduating seniors.

FOM depends on the generosity of donors like you, who make it possible for us to continue to enrich NHS students’ performing arts experiences. Performing arts participation fees are minimal or non-existent. Donations are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of parents. 100% of your donation goes toward student programming and is tax deductible.
