Proceeds from the Night of Light Dessert Gala will help NAMI Finger Lakes continue providing mental health education, support, advocacy, and connection throughout our community.

About NAMI Finger Lakes

NAMI Finger Lakes is the Ithaca and Cortland, New York affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), serving individuals and families throughout the Finger Lakes region.

Our roots date back to 1985, when founder Jean Walters opened her Ithaca home to families seeking support, education, and greater understanding around mental illness. That commitment to connection, compassion, and community continues to guide our work today.

NAMI Finger Lakes is a nonprofit organization supported by trained staff and volunteers. Our program volunteers are trained and certified through NAMI, and many bring lived experience supporting loved ones affected by mental illness.

This combination of training, lived experience, and local knowledge allows us to help individuals and families better understand mental health challenges, navigate available resources, and connect with support in their communities.

Through education, advocacy, support, and outreach, NAMI Finger Lakes works to ensure that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.
