A Community Project For the Whole Family!

Celebrate Public Lands Day by giving back to the wetlands that give us so much! Join your neighbors for a morning of hands-on service projects designed to help protect and restore this special habitat for wildlife and people alike. Volunteers can pitch in on projects like invasive species removal, native plant restoration, and litter and debris cleanup. No experience necessary — just bring your energy and enthusiasm! Tools, gloves, and instructions will be provided, along with plenty of opportunities to learn about the wetlands while you work. It's a great way for families, students, and community members of all ages to make a real difference and leave the wetlands better than we found them!

Schedule:

8:00am: Event begins, please arrive on time.

8-8:30am: Introduction and split into groups

8:30am-10:45am: Work with group on service project

10:45am-11am: Return to center and wrap-up!

What to bring:

Long pants, sleeves, and closed-toed shoes
Bug spray
A hat
Water bottle
Your sense of service and community
