Event permits, professional sound systems, security, water, mobile restrooms, and other admin expenses.

Why support No Kings?

The No Kings movement stands for the idea that no individual should hold unchecked power in a democracy. It emphasizes equal accountability under the law, the protection of democratic institutions, and resistance to authoritarian leadership styles. Supporters believe that public officials are elected to serve the people—not rule over them—and that civic engagement, transparency, and constitutional limits are essential to preserving freedom. Backing the No Kings movement signals a commitment to shared governance, individual rights, and a political system where leadership is accountable to the public rather than elevated above it.

Who is HOCTX?

We are a coalition of individuals and grassroots organizations who work together to host events and harness the power of Central Texans to defend democracy. We are a big tent of patriotic Americans, welcoming all who want to work on civic engagement and self-governance. We are a non-partisan pro-democracy 501(c)3 nonprofit elevating the civic power of Central Texans. Our resistance is sustainable through community and collaboration. Our 1st amendment-oriented events include rallies, marches, civic engagement, resource distribution, creative direct actions, concerts, an anti-fascist bookclub, and more. In July, HOCTX Mutual Aid responded to the needs of neighbors devastated by the Central Texas flood. We raised over $60k for mutual aid and housing needs and gathered and directed donations from individuals and companies (including a helicopter and convoys from out of state).
