Since 2004 Community Works CDC (CWCDC) has served youth, adults and seniors in one of our city’s most under-resourced communities - Northeast Houston. Youth development, workforce development, entrepreneurship training and affordable housing support comprise the programs we have offered which are transforming lives. Currently, we have a specific need for financial support of our youth programs, staffing and general operations. Your generous gift empowers Community Works to accomplish the following goals:

Youth AV & Media Training: After School Enrichment that equips 25 youth with skills in Podcasting, Audio, Video and Disc Jockey training with an emphasis on monetizing these skills as a small business.
Workforce & Entrepreneurship Development: Recruits, trains and launches 75 workers and entrepreneurs from our community into the top demand occupations and proven successful business practices.
Staffing & General Operations: Hire 2 part-time Community Health Workers who navigate community members through assessment, support services and community resources while maintaining CWCDC existing general operations.
