Community Works CDC needs your support. Donate today and permanently impact the lives of youth and families in Northeast Houston.
Since 2004 Community Works CDC (CWCDC) has served youth, adults and seniors in one of our city’s most under-resourced communities - Northeast Houston. Youth development, workforce development, entrepreneurship training and affordable housing support comprise the programs we have offered which are transforming lives. Currently, we have a specific need for financial support of our youth programs, staffing and general operations. Your generous gift empowers Community Works to accomplish the following goals:
- Youth AV & Media Training: After School Enrichment that equips 25 youth with skills in Podcasting, Audio, Video and Disc Jockey training with an emphasis on monetizing these skills as a small business.
- Workforce & Entrepreneurship Development: Recruits, trains and launches 75 workers and entrepreneurs from our community into the top demand occupations and proven successful business practices.
- Staffing & General Operations: Hire 2 part-time Community Health Workers who navigate community members through assessment, support services and community resources while maintaining CWCDC existing general operations.
CWCDC is goaling to raise $100k towards our Annual Fund in the next 60 days. Donate today.
