NourishPHX serves 20,000 families annually with food, clothing, hygiene, diapers and job assistance. More than 38% are children with parents working paycheck-to-paycheck.

In addition to direct services, we coordinate monthly classes and learning opportunities. These include yoga to financial education all free to the community. We serve a variety of people and backgrounds, and Deita is just one example of those we assist:

Deita has a son and three grandchildren. She is also a US Veteran and was a teacher until she was forced to retire in 2021 due to a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, a terminal cancer. No longer able to work she found herself looking for ways to keep busy on a limited budget. Deita was not aware that NourishPHX existed until one day she found our free jewelry-making class. After attending the class, she decided to start volunteering. She helps by sorting clothes for others who are in need. She also receives food boxes that she needs to keep her healthy. Deita is happy to come to NourishPHX twice a week and work side by side with her new friends and to give back to the community. She is an inspiration to all of us at NourishPHX!

Food, Passion & Fashion is a private event at a residence in Paradise Valley. The guest list will be limited. Our guest chef is Chef Jeff Kraus from the Crepe Bar in Tempe, AZ. Jeff is our local celebrity chef appearing on several Food Network shows, including Chopped and Super Market Stakeout. He is a regular donor to NourishPHX by donating his time to our Beyond the Pantry breakfast event, Thinking Inside the Box campaign, and now to our inaugural fashion gallery. Our host is a weekly volunteer to NourishPHX helping to make the food pantry a little brighter and a fun place to visit!
