Celebrating 30 Years of Safer, More Supportive Schools

For 30 years, the National School Climate Center has worked to help schools become safer, more supportive, and more engaging places to learn. To celebrate this milestone, we invite you to make an anniversary gift of $30 (or more).

Why now?

Schools are facing unprecedented challenges. Students are entering schools weighed down by mental health struggles, staff burnout, economic uncertainty, the lasting impacts of COVID, and the unknowns of AI and the future. What we see, and what school and district leaders tell us, is that when students don't feel safe and connected, everything else suffers: their ability to engage in school, to trust adults around them, to show up, and to succeed.

That's the problem NSCC exists to solve. When we partner with a school to improve the learning environment, the changes are real and visible: students who once felt invisible start to engage. Classrooms that felt tense become places where kids take risks, ask questions, and support one another. Teachers feel supported, and that energy flows directly to the students in front of them. It's a shift you can feel in the hallways. Through real, implementable, data-driven solutions grounded in three decades of research, NSCC provides sustained support to make sure the changes stick.

$3,000 gathers school climate information for an entire school to make real, lasting change
$30,000 engages 3 schools in the yearlong community champions bullying prevention program
