The Davidson Nuances are a mixed-voice a cappella group established at Davidson College in 2009. We dedicate around five hours a week to crafting intentional a cappella music across multiple genres, from pop and R&B, to jazz and oldies! In addition to performing around campus at least 4 times a semester, we have had a history of professionally recording and documenting our voices over the years.

Our debut album "Shaken Not Stirred" was released in 2012. Our second album "SoFa" (2016) and most recent album "Sundays at Seven" (2020) are available for streaming on Apple Music and Spotify. The goal has been to release a recording every four years to capture the sound of each "generation" of the Nuances, and the time has now come. We have booked recording dates in Spring 2024 in collaboration with Liquid Fifth Production, a studio specialized in high-quality a cappella recording and who we have worked with for our past projects.

We have been intensely planning and diligently rehearsing to master the music that will be on this album. We will include the senior solos of our 2023 class: "Don't" by Ed Sheeran (soloist: Nick Havill), "Grenade" by Bruno Mars (soloist: Michele Yeung), "Who's Lovin You" by The Jackson 5 (soloist: Erin Simard), and "Chiquitita" by Abba (soloist: Jordan Polster). We will also be featuring this year's current seniors in "Jolene" by Dolly Parton (soloist: Abby Tutterow) and "Ceilings" by Lizzy McAlpine (soloist: Jada Coffey).

These senior solos combined with six other songs (which will remain a surprise!) will give us a grand total of 12 tracks for your enjoyment. We can't wait to share our love for singing with you and cannot thank you enough for contributing any amount and/or speading the word!
