Bakersfield City Ballet is our community’s pre-professional ballet company, dedicated to developing young dancers through advanced training, mentorship, performance, and artistic opportunity.

We believe talented young dancers should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams right here in Bakersfield. BCB provides a bridge between dance-school training and the next step—whether that means a college dance program, a professional career, or simply becoming a lifelong supporter of the arts.

Each season, our dancers bring classical and contemporary ballet to audiences throughout our community, while our educational and outreach programs introduce even more young people to the beauty of live performance.

The Nutcracker is at the heart of that mission. For generations, this beloved holiday tradition has brought families together through music, dance, storytelling, and the magic of the stage. The Nutcracker Tea gives our community another special way to experience that magic while supporting the young artists who make it possible.

Your support helps Bakersfield City Ballet continue providing meaningful opportunities for local dancers and bringing exceptional ballet experiences to our community. Every gift helps us invest in dancers, productions, education, and the future of the arts in Bakersfield.
