For those of us who have spent countless hours biking Riley Trails, we know the joy it brings. Mountain Bike Camps, Balance Bike Rides, Outreach Rides, Spring Mountain Bike Club, Fall Mountain Bike Clubs, Bike School rides and more....Riley Trails has been a haven for all of us throughout the spring, summer and fall months.

Now, it’s time for us to give back to the trails that give us so much.

We are launching a community-wide matching campaign with a goal to raise $10,000 to further enhance and maintain the trail system at Riley Trails. Every dollar donated will go directly to ensuring these trails remain safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. From repairing eroded sections to upgrading berms and features and enhancing natural habitats, your contribution will have a lasting impact. Velo Kids and a generous donor have come together with a $5,000 match, doubling your donation!

Why Donate?

Preservation: Trails don’t maintain themselves. They need constant care, especially with increased use over the summer. Your support will help preserve the beauty of Riley Trails for generations to come.
Enhancements: Improvements are planned to elevate the experience for all users.
Community Power: Your donation, matched by others, means we can achieve twice as much together!

Project Goals:

Stabilize the existing trail surface as much as possible to preserve the current marked mountain bike loop.
Increase the enjoyment and safety of the current loop for all user groups (i.e. walkers, hikers, runners & cyclists).
Restore & enhance the natural features of the loop to make the trail more interesting, safe and a more productive learning experience (i.e. for new riders, Velo Kids, etc).
Create a long-term sustainable model for enhancing a valuable high use community asset of Riley Trails.

We are incredibly fortunate to have this natural resource in our backyard and to Ottawa County and Michigan's Edge Mountain Biking Association that maintain it, but it thrives because of community support.
