The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless is a bi-county non-profit organization that strives to end homelessness and alleviate its associated issues for homeless and at-risk individuals in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Founded in 1985, the Coalition serves veterans, homeless families, singles, and at-risk Long Islanders. As the convening entity for all organizations serving homeless households in the region, it oversees the regional Continuum of Care (CoC), managing strategic development, housing placements, and regional planning and reporting to address homelessness.

LICH provides direct support to persons experiencing homelessness through housing-focused case management, street outreach, resource navigation and distributing essential items. It collaborates with individuals with lived experience of homelessness in program design and implementation.
