We aren't pretending to be homeless. We're choosing to spend one night outside so our neighbors don't have to.

One night in a tent cannot replicate homelessness. We know that when morning comes, we can return to warm homes, showers, food and safety. For people experiencing homelessness, that choice doesn't exist. This night is about listening, learning, raising awareness and raising the funds necessary to provide a safe place to sleep and re-open Oaks Shelter.

How can you help?

By donating to a tent! We have 8 individuals staying in a tent on 10/23 from 6p-6a to raise awareness and funding. They are all trying to find sponsors to help them raise the $2-5,000 to "sponsor" their night! Help us get the shelter back open! We are also looking for businesses to "drop by" throughout the night! We have 5 time spots to fill with local businesses that can bring treats, food, coffee, etc and just show support (6-8pm, 8-10pm, 10pm-12am, 12-2am, 2-4am, 4-6am).
