We are creatures of the late night deep playa, but how many times have you found yourself a little cold, a little tired, and desirous of a cozy spot to relax, get warm, and await the sunrise? Every deep desert experience needs an oasis where weary adventurers can recharge and recuperate. The Oasis Lounge is a curious, cozy family room tucked at the far edge of the deep playa. A loungey space with vibey tunes, it’s perfect for late night conversations and pre-sunrise cuddle puddles.

Experience

In the heart of the deep Playa, a subtly glowing cube beckons from the horizon, an enigmatic beacon. As you draw nearer, an auditory landscape unfolds, woven from the voices of hundreds of Burners who share their personal reflections on "what family and home mean to them." This chorus of memories stirs the question within you, inviting you in.

Around a corner, the unexpected warmth of a fireplace glimmers, guiding you to a scene as familiar as it is surreal: a cozy, funk-infused 1970s family room, complete with shag carpet, lava lamps, and a nostalgic ambiance that feels both out of place and perfectly at home against the backdrop of Burning Man's neon spectacle.

Amidst the radical self-reliance that Burning Man encourages, there exists a fundamental human need for connection and community. By stepping into The Oasis, participants inhabit a collective memory space where the stories of hundreds of Burners prompt personal reflection and candid conversation. The sensory experience of the sanctuary evokes a sense of nostalgia while creating a portal to shared memories and histories.

June Update - Phase 1 complete

We’re back in New York and recuperated after our epic build session in SLC! The Oasis walls are constructed, painted, and lit, and we’ve sourced a bunch of funky furnishings. We put in a solid 3 weeks of effort, but it was definitely A LOT more work than we anticipated [insert a few tears, a bit of tendinitis, questioning of life choices, and a lot of beer]. We got a ton done, and then had to put down the hammers, break down the walls, put everything into storage, and head home.

The exterior is painted, chromed, and the LEDs are looking good!
