In 2027, Oax Sport will support a group of athletes from different sports, ages and communities in Oaxaca, Mexico, for a full year. We call the program Dreams That Unite Us.

Applications opened on October 13, 2026. Athletes in track, duathlon and combat sports have already applied.

“Every athlete has their own story and their own dreams. This program unites them in a community where support, collaboration and shared activities build opportunities to move forward.”
Juan Victoria, chair of the Oax Sport Athlete and Program Support Committee (translated from Spanish)

How we choose athletes

Each athlete applies with their sports history, goals and needs. Oax Sport reviews each application, interviews finalists and signs a written agreement with each athlete selected. Athletes keep their own clubs and coaches.

Oax Sport decides who receives support and approves every expense. Every gift goes to the shared program fund.

Why one program fund

Since 2020, Oax Sport has documented support for 30 athletes and 10 teams or community projects. Most of that help came one trip at a time, through small campaigns for single events. One shared fund lets us plan support for the whole 2027 season.

We plan to introduce the selected athletes in early 2027, once each athlete and their family agree. We will post updates at OaxSport.Org.

Monthly gifts let us plan the whole year.

Oax Sport Inc. is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EIN: 86-3407818. Oax Sport A.C., a registered nonprofit in Oaxaca, Mexico, runs the program. Questions or receipts: oaxsport.org/contact
