25 Years of Community, Creativity & Impact

Since 2000, OCCTAC has served Santa Ana and Orange County, providing arts, education, and therapeutic programs to children, youth, and adults facing physical, cognitive, social, and emotional challenges. Serving over 7,000 children, 500 youth, and 200 adults annually, OCCTAC empowers creativity, emotional wellness, and academic growth, especially for underserved families.

Vision: A world where all families have equitable access to exceptional arts, educational, and therapeutic programs.
Mission: Provide innovative arts, education, and therapy programs to low-income and special needs families that unlock potential, nurture creativity, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Student Highlight: Cesar Galvan

Cesar joined OCCTAC at six and discovered a love for music. Born a congenital amputee missing his lower left arm, he embraced piano and violin, overcoming challenges with determination.

During high school, Cesar persevered, earning recognition for his performances, including a standing ovation at a UC San Diego retreat. This year Cesar earned 3rd Place in the 2025 MTAC Composers Today State Contest with his original composition, Tres Caballeros.

Now a Political Science major at UC San Diego, Cesar hopes to continue music in an orchestra or band. His journey reflects the transformative power of the arts and OCCTAC’s role in nurturing growth and confidence.

Giving Tuesday donations fuel programs that:

Provide free and low-cost arts education for underserved youth
Offer creative therapy and emotional wellness support
Create mentorship and career opportunities
Build connected communities through cultural events

Donation Tiers:

$35 – One 30-minute private lesson
$100 – One month of weekly group class (4+ students)
$150 – One month of weekly 30-minute private lesson
$500 – One Preparatory Arts Academy or Therapeutic Arts group class for one semester (4 months)
$1,000 – Full academic year for one student, including materials and performance opportunities
