Step inside more than 200 years of Pittsburgh history.

Explore one of Downtown Pittsburgh’s oldest burial grounds with a guided Graveyard Tour at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. The historic churchyard contains graves that predate the City of Pittsburgh and the United States, preserving stories from the earliest days of the region.

This Halloween season, the gates open on October 10 and 24, 2026, for a rare opportunity to explore the churchyard after hours. Guests will discover centuries-old grave markers, unusual monuments, burial history, and stories of the people whose lives became part of Pittsburgh’s history.

The experience continues inside Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, with time to explore the historic Cathedral and enjoy seasonal refreshments. Choose from afternoon tours or special Dusk Tours as daylight fades. Each tour is limited to 20 guests.

For those looking for unique things to do in Pittsburgh this October, the Graveyard Tours offer an atmospheric way to experience local history during spooky season, in a real historic burial ground in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh.

Tickets support Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and the preservation of this historic Downtown Pittsburgh churchyard.
