David T. Van Dyke serves as the Deputy Director of the Technical & Reporting Services

Bureau for the Omaha Police Department. Appointed to the department’s executive

command staff in June 2019, Van Dyke works to guide the agency's modern data

infrastructure, strategic planning, and technological evolution.

He oversees critical non-sworn divisions, including the Crime Analysis Unit and the

Information Technology Unit. His bureau is responsible for translating complex data sets

into actionable intelligence, tracking regional metropolitan patterns, and managing the

information pipeline that helps shape how the department allocates resources and

maintains transparent reporting metrics for the Omaha community.

For 31 years, he served as President of Van Dyke Consulting, Inc., where his practice

focused on statistics, research methodology, and data management to help

organizations optimize their operations. In parallel with his consulting career, he spent

nearly three decades as a Part-Time adjunct professor of Psychology at Creighton

University.

Dave has a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the

University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Calvin

University.
