A young person needs a welcoming space to learn and discover their talents. A parent needs trusted guidance in a language they understand. A mother needs support as she prepares to welcome a baby. A community needs a place to gather, celebrate its cultures, and build connections.

African Immigrant Family Services (AIFS) brings these opportunities to life. Now, we invite you to help create the next chapter.

We are raising $150,000 by December 31, 2026, to help establish the AIFS African Cultural & Community Center.

Rooted in African cultures and welcoming immigrant and refugee families from diverse backgrounds, the Center will bring AIFS programs and community activities together in a shared, leased facility.

What Your Gift Will Help Make Possible

Your contribution will help furnish, equip, and prepare spaces for:

Youth development, STEM, and learning: Tutoring, STEM and robotics activities, technology and digital skills, language learning, arts, leadership development, and other educational enrichment opportunities that help young people build confidence and prepare for the future.
Health screening and education: Preventive health activities, trusted information, and connections to care.
Promotion of Mother's Care (ProMoCare) and family support: Resources, education, and practical support for mothers, infants, and families.
ESL and adult education: Opportunities to strengthen communication skills and navigate everyday systems.
AIFS WEB TV: Multilingual educational programming and community storytelling.
Culture and community connection: Meetings, workshops, cultural activities, and opportunities for people from different countries and generations to come together.

Campaign funds will also support moving, technology, safety, signage, and an occupancy reserve to help sustain services during the transition.

This campaign supports the setup and operation of the new Center—not the purchase of a building.

Every Gift Matters—even $1

You do not need to make a large donation to make a meaningful contribution.

Give $1, $5, $25, $100, or whatever amount is comfortable for you. Businesses, foundations, and individuals who can give more are invited to help equip a room, sponsor the campaign, or support its long-term success.

Every gift contributes to the same goal: a welcoming home for health, learning, culture, family support, and opportunity.

Participation is voluntary. Access to AIFS services and community belonging never depends on making a donation.
