A young person needs a welcoming space to learn and discover their talents. A parent needs trusted guidance in a language they understand. A mother needs support as she prepares to welcome a baby. A community needs a place to gather and celebrate its cultures.

African Immigrant Family Services (AIFS) brings these opportunities to life. Now, we invite you to help create the next chapter: a shared home for this work.

Purpose: Furnish, equip, and establish the AIFS African Cultural & Community Center in a shared, leased facility

What Your Gift Will Build

Rooted in African cultures and open to immigrant and refugee families of every background, the Center will bring AIFS programs together under one roof:

Youth development, STEM & learning: tutoring, STEM and robotics, digital skills, language learning, arts, and leadership development
Health screening & education: preventive health activities, trusted information, and connections to care
ProMoCare (Promotion of Mother's Care): education and practical support for mothers, infants, and families
ESL & adult education: communication skills and help navigating everyday systems
AIFS WEB TV: multilingual educational programming and community storytelling
Culture & community: meetings, workshops, and cultural activities that connect generations and countries

Where the Funds Go

Furniture and equipment for program spaces
Moving and setup
Technology
Safety and signage
An occupancy reserve to sustain services during the transition

This campaign supports the setup and operation of the Center. It does not fund the purchase of a building.

Ways to Help

Give any amount. Every gift matters, even $1.
Invite five people. Ask friends, relatives, colleagues, or neighbors to join you.
Fundraise with a team. Join a Community Team or start a page for your association, workplace, or faith community.
Sponsor the Center. Businesses and foundations can sponsor the campaign or equip a room. Contact us to discuss recognition.
Share the vision. Your voice, introductions, and volunteer time are valuable contributions too.

Celebrate the families, youth, volunteers, and partners behind AIFS and see the vision for the Center. Venue and admission details will be shared soon.

Participation is always voluntary. Access to AIFS services never depends on making a donation.
