At Connie's Clubhouse, we believe every person, regardless of their abilities, deserves a place to connect and belong.

Our Daily Enrichment Program serves teens and adults with intellectual, developmental, and mental disabilities, including many who haven't found a place in other programs. We meet every person where they are in their journey by building around their strengths, not turning them away because of their challenges. Whatever someone carries through our door, we build around them.

A typical day at Connie's Clubhouse looks something like this:

A member arrives and sits down with staff to plan their morning. They head out into the community — maybe to a local grocery store, a restaurant, an outdoor park, or even a conservatory — practicing the real-world skills that build independence. Back at the Clubhouse, they work on vocational readiness, prepare lunch together, and spend time with friends who know them and value them.

By the end of the day, they've practiced many skills that most of us take for granted. This can include managing money, ordering their own meal, actively listening, and engaging in reciprocal conversation. While they are practicing these skills, they are building strong human connections.

Structured day programming improves quality of life and creates pathways to greater independence. For many of our members, Connie's Clubhouse is where that journey begins.

This fall, we need your help to keep this program going.

We're fortunate that so much of what we do is made possible through generosity. Community partners donate space for our outings. Local businesses contribute supplies that support our activities. But one cost falls to us alone, and it's the most important one. It's the people.

Our direct support professionals (DSP) are the heart of this program. They help plan the day for our program participants, ride along on outings, and use behavior-informed techniques to support each person through hard moments and celebrate good ones. They show up multiple days each week for others who need someone steady in their corner.
