For 41 years our actors, teaching artists, and staff in recovery have impacted over 1 million students, peers, educators, and community members through our Prevention Plays, Act Now Workshops and Drama Therapy Program.

In 2024-2025, 2nd Act has accomplished so much:

2nd Act's Teaching Artists ran over 200 Act Now Workshops serving 2x more students compared to last year!
Provided critical prevention education in 6 states which would not be possible without 2nd Act's amazing team of Artists in Recovery.
Our most groundbreaking news is that 2nd Act has launched the first-ever Drama Therapy space in the nation designed specifically for people in recovery— called 2nd Space. Through 2nd Space, we provide individuals in recovery a safe, therapeutic environment to explore their stories, build community, and heal through the power of drama therapy and creative expression. This program is already changing lives— serving over 1,000 individuals since we opened our doors last October.
