Outlast Arts and Education Turns 10

For the past decade, Outlast Arts and Education has empowered Native and BIPOC youth in South Dakota through film, wellness, and education. What started as a small film camp in 2015 has grown into a vibrant institute serving more than 100 youth each year.

Outlast students have created award-winning short films, documentaries, and music videos. They’ve built confidence, shared their stories, and taken steps into college and professional careers. Many alumni now return as mentors, inspiring the next generation. Lives have been transformed through this community of storytelling and support.

Now, we are ready to grow. With your help, Outlast will expand into a year-round program reaching up to 225 youth annually, providing film and media training, intergenerational wellness groups, mentorship, and college and career readiness.
