Welcome to the 2026-27 school year from Friends of Overland (FOO), Overland Elementary's 501(c)3 parent-volunteer booster club! Your donations to directly fund the programs that have earned Overland a top-2 ranking among LAUSD Elementary Schools two years running (Go Eagles!). The Family Annual Donation ("FAD") campaign is our biggest fundraiser of the year and directly funds our beloved Teacher's Aides & other resources for the upcoming school year.

The "Ask"

All donation levels are appreciated, and the below suggested levels help us ensure uninterrupted resources. Donate any amount by 9/30 and receive a free sign or window cling, donate at the suggested donation level or higher & also receive a free Overland tote! All items can be picked up during the FAD tables available at school drop off on the following Friday mornings: 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25.

$1,600 per child in grades 1-5

About the Overland Teacher's Aide Program

While FOO fundraises for a variety of programs noted below, our FAD fundraiser directly impacts how our Teacher's Aide program is funded for the upcoming year. Overland is the only LAUSD school that places a dedicated aide in every single classroom. Research consistently shows that a second adult in the room means more individual attention for every student, stronger academic support, and a better environment for teachers to do what they do best. At $502K — more than half our annual budget — it is our single largest investment and what makes Overland truly exceptional. Principals and teachers agree it's the single best use of funds, and the success of FAD directly determines how many aides, and how many hours, we're able to fund for the upcoming year.

Ways to Donate

Credit Card: Click "Donate Now" in the top right of the screen to make your credit card donation .
Zelle: Please Zelle us at foozelle@overlandschool.org and make sure to write your child's name + teacher's name in the memo.
Check: Make your checks out to 'Friends of Overland" and either drop in the FOO mailbox in the office, or mail to Overland Elementary School ATTN: FOO, 10650 Ashby Ave., Los Angeles CA 90064.
DAF: please follow the credit card instructions & select DAF as your payment option
Installment Payments: pay over 10 installments either by credit card or zelle! Note that paying by installments will still enable you to receive the FAD tote below.
