If you need to leave home fast, a go-bag can make it easier to get out and still get by. It has first aid and survival supplies, personal effects, and important papers and documents. Having a go-bag can make you more prepared to help yourself, your loved ones, and your community in a crisis or emergency.

Ohio Valley Mutual Aid is buying some of the most useful and easy-to-carry supplies in bulk to make preparedness less expensive and more accessible to more folks in our area. These include things that are helpful to have on-hand in nearly any situation (band-aids, lighter) as well as items that you're less likely to need, but are important when you do need them (water purification tablets, can-opener).

Our goal of $350 is enough to buy supplies for 20 workshop attendees, with a little left over to donate to local homeless shelters. If we can raise more than that, we'll have more workshops and set more of our neighbors up with go-bags. Ideally, we could set up a community pantry so that neighbors can restock their supplies as needed.
